Why TREASURE Study Matters

After surgery, almost one in ten patients develop problems with their wounds at home. Early detection of infections can prevent complications, but accessing in-person appointments is challenging.

TREASURE explores how patients can swab their own surgical wounds at home, potentially reducing unnecessary clinic visits, detecting infections earlier, and empowering patients to be active partners in their recovery.
